COMMUTER 829
January & February 2022 | February 2024These images were made on my commute. Every day, over the course of 6 weeks, I would walk to the train station and take the train to work. The routine became familiar, comfortable. As I settled into it, I began to view with this routine as an opportunity to engage with the eccentricities of the city. My practice of looking became my companion. Through this, I began to see photographs, sometimes choosing to make them, despite always having my camera. These photographs, then, become documentation of the process of commuting. a glimpse into a ritual; exploring the variance of standardisation and intentional, structured wandering.
